About
Who we are
Since Remastersys was abandoned, the team formed a fork Respin. Free Software and Open Source developers working together to create a FOSS remastering or respin program. Linux Respin is fork of "Remastersys." We worked with Tony to obtain the original code and he offered assistance. After tidying some code, the project split again. Our goal is to keep information free. We strive to keep the source open and available to the community! We want people to use the packages and the code. Have you ever wanted to create your own distro? We make it simple. Linux Respin can make a live version from inside of your OS, or it can make a back up of your fresh install. You can share your Respin backup with your friends, or just use this as a starting backup. This is open source software, and has no warranties or guarantees. Use Respin at your own risk. Please Note: A "copy" cat program - found at respins.org is not the official Linux Respin Project forked from Remastersys and does not have updates, current source code and current features.
